The Use of Balers for Reusing Waste Material
For material recycling facilities in industrial area, a baler machine is utilized to compressed cardboard, paper, plastic or other shredded materials. It is also used in agriculture to facilitate compression of crops like straw or hay into bales for binding them.
One of the most useful agriculture equipments used for harvesting hay is 'hay baler'. Some crops are cut and gathered with the help of machine in order to create hay for the purpose of cattle feeding. Baler is such machinery that gathers such cut hay and compresses into round or square shape of bales which are quite easy to store and transport.
Hay balers are convenient to store and transport but they need to be cared. Small square bales weigh something between 18-32 kg and they should be kept in a safe place to protect it from snow and rain. On the contrary, large round bales can be kept outside in the farm. For it is round in shape, it lets rain run off the all sides not to get it rotten.
Initially bales were dropped down on the floor and their twines were removed by hand. After drying the haystack, the tightly compacted balers required to be torn apart for use. Recently, this manual bale handling process is made easy by a bale shredder with its rotary cutting teeth. So farmers can take benefit of this bale shredder.
Industrial balers are used to compact certain waste like office paper or byproducts. It is normally sold to recycling companies so that it can be used again for the production of paper or cardboard. These are hydraulically operated balers used for compressing the loaded materials which are made of steel.
Baler is also used to compact items like plastics and metals. There are some compactors and baler used in industry in order to extract oils or liquids from metals. Since recycling becomes necessary in industries in order to reuse materials, baling facilities are very much in demand. For example, scrap metal is recycled into new sheet metal which is used in automobiles.
