Your Skin Will Be Glad You Used Goats Milk Soap

Goats milk soap doesn't contain any harsh detergents which can be very irritating to your skin. Once you try goats milk soap, you will never want to go back to regular soap again. It is that good.

Glycerin: The Key to Natural Skin Hydration in Soaps

In the soap making process, soap saponification naturally creates a compound called glycerin. Glycerin is created as a strong base reacts with natural fatty acids called triglycerides. Triglycerides are found in animal products such as goat's milk, lard, butter, etc. Glycerin is the key to skin hydration.

Glycerin, which is one of the natural by-products of soapmaking, is wonderful at keeping the natural moisture from being stripped away in the skin and hair. Despite this well-known benefit, manufacturers remove the glycerin from their facory-made soap. This is because it is such a valuable commodity in the global economy for the manufacturing of many other products.

Goats Milk Soap Has the Same pH as Our Skin

PH is important because of the "acid mantle" on our skin. The acid mantle is a highly acidic layer on top of the epidermis that protects us. This acidic layer is produced by the skin's oil glands which, in turn, defend our bodies from bacteria, viruses, and other potential contaminants that might penetrate the skin. Since these outside forces are primarily basic in nature, the skin's acid mantle easily defends us by neutralizing those threats on contact.

Scientists have determined over the years that the pH level of goats milk soap has the same pH level of human skin. Goats' milk contains capric, caprylic, and caproic acids, as well as other naturally occurring fatty acids. The result is a lower pH than that of store bought soaps (which contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which is very basic), bringing the goats milk soap nearer to human skin and hair pH.

Prevents Skin Problems

Regular use of goats milk soap makes a huge difference in how your skin feels. Have you ever noticed (in the wintertime especially) the way your hands are so terribly dried out by store soap after washing & drying them? The natural acids and oils are stripped away leaving behind uncomfortably dry skin.

The epidermis must endure a lot of punishment when exposed to hot water and factory made soap. This constant abuse to your skin leaves it feeling dry, taunt, irritated, even cracked and overall feeling generally uncomfortable. Over time, it can even affect the skins appearance by aging it prematurely.

Fresh Rejuvenated Skin with Goats Milk Soap

Once the skin dries out, the sebaceous pores of our skin begin to kick into action. The pores tend to go into overdrive to overcompensate for the pH imbalance and stripped-out oils by excreting abnormal amounts of oil (also called "sebum"). The excess oil results in a number of potential problems that can be avoided with regular use of goat's milk soap, such as acne, black heads, and oily hair and skin. Alpha hydroxy is the natural skin exfoliator in goats milk soap that is so wonderful for alleviating this problem by rejuvenating the skin. Alpha hydroxy helps with improving the youthful appearance of skin by aiding the exfoliation of the older skin cells, therefore leaving behind the most beautiful skin.

Try Goats Milk Soap and You Will Be Hooked!

Using goats milk soap is really a life changing experience. Once you experience your moisturized skin even in the dead of winter, the smoothness of the alpha hydroxy action, or the beautiful clarity of acne free skin, you will never want to go back to harsh store-bought soap. And that is...No "kid"ding!
