There are many gemstones which are used in the making of jewellery. Gemstones add extra beauty to the jewellery and give a completely unique look to the person wearing them. Amber is one such gemstone used in the manufacture of jewelleries. What makes it completely different from other gemstones is that they are not originated from the minerals. Amber is regarded as Northern Gold as it is very precious and people who have them are considered to very lucky as well as rich. Thus during the transportation of amber gemstones there is always a very high security. Because they are not found much nowadays, they are very expensive.

Amber is a gemstone which is used for the purpose of safety in some of the countries. It is being used since many years by the amulets and talismans as a means of safety for the person wearing it. Also in some countries like India, necklaces made of amber gemstones are given to children so as to keep them away from any kidnapping. In many places it is used in healing techniques as it produces electrical energy when rubbed along a cloth. It is also considered as an effective gemstone for removing all the complications in the relationships and hence making the relationships even stronger. So amber can be gifted on occasion such as father’s day or mother’s day or any such events related to your family.

There is certain jewellery made from Amber gemstones such as Lily amber pendants. It is made of pure silver and amber stone. This is called lily pendant because it is given a shape of lily. It is measured up to 4.5 cm lengthwise. Often these pendants are worn along with the matching bracelets or earrings. The cost of this pendant is around 18.95 dollars. Another such product made from in the amber jewellery is sterling and amber bracelet which is also made up of pure silver and contains amber stones. The length of these pendants is about 16.5 cm and approximate cost is about 38.95 dollars. They are also worn along with matching earrings and pendants. Since they are also given a shape of lily, they are also referred to as yet another lily pendant.

Most of the amber gemstones are used along with the silver jewellery but nowadays even gold is used along with the amber gemstones to provide a complete different look.
