Burial or Cremation - How To Make The Decision
When one passes away, one of the most difficult decisions will be whether to bury the deceased or cremate the remains. In fact, it will be a lot easier if the deceased has planned it before. In this case it is just needed to do whatever the deceased wishes.
However, in some cases of sudden death, the deceased may not have planned it. In this case, the decision has to be made. Making such decision is very stressful. However, there is no way to escape from making the decision.
In some cases, burial will not be preferred. When there are some serious accidents, some people may pass away if they are seriously injured. In this case cremation will be the option if the family members of the people cannot be contacted immediately.
On the other hand, it is more traditional to bury the deceased. In this case a casket will be purchased and the deceased will be buried in the casket.
Both burial and cremation are very common ways to deal with the remains. As a matter of fact, it is totally true that no one will be willing to make the decision on the choice between burial and cremation. However, it becomes an obligation when our beloved passes away.
Of course the case can be different if there are some religious reasons. For example, under the teaching of Buddhism, cremation will actually be preferred. Of course the teachings of different religions will be different. But one can make the decision according to the religious belief of the deceased in such cases.
Most people will consider burial will be an easier decision. The reason for this is that the gravestone can be visited in later time. It will be always good to visit the gravestone as a memory of the deceased. In such case the idea of burial will normally be preferred.
As mentioned, it is not easy to choose between burial and cremation. However, the idea is to make the decision according to the wishes of the deceased. If the deceased has belief in some religions, the decision can be made based on the religious teaching. If possible, pre-planned funeral will be encouraged. In this case, the decision can be made beforehand by the deceased. This can greatly reduce the pressure the family member will be facing.
