Successful Balance

James Ray grew up with a very religious background. He wasn't a typical child who enjoyed sports or social events, but rather he enjoyed reading about all of the religions of the world. As the son of a Protestant minister, James Ray was well grounded in many of the traditional Christian beliefs, but his father encouraged him to have an open mind, and he always supported the other religious studies James pursued.

In high school, James Ray began studying Buddhism, Shirley MacLaine, philosophy, and even quantum physics in an attempt to understand how the universe works. He uses much of what he learned back then to teach people today. He encourages people to become students rather than seekers. A student is someone with a great deal of inner discipline who dives deeply into a subject. A seeker dabbles in a bit of everything.

Before becoming a spiritual teacher, James Ray James ray was a top sales manager and in charge of AT&T's School of Business. It was his job to train others in the company, and in doing so, he taught them how to think differently, act differently, and feel differently to get results.

In 1992, James Ray left AT&T to start his own business. He started out doing corporate consulting and training before later becoming a spiritual teacher. James believed that by training the people within a corporation, they could change the overall results of the corporation.

As a spiritual teacher, James Ray started the Harmonic Wealth program. The Harmonic Wealth program isn't about money; it's about spiritual fulfillment. No one, even billionaires, can be truly happy if they feel financially insecure. With the Harmonic Wealth program, James teaches people how to find harmony in life by balancing five key areas.

The five key areas, or pillars, of life that must be balanced to achieve happiness are financial, relational, mental, physical, and spiritual. When you find your passion in life, you'll incorporate it into the five pillars of your life, and soon your life will be on fire.

Each of the five pillars depends on the others, so that is the reason James Ray feels balance is crucial to success. Just as you can't argue with your spouse over money and have a loving conversation at the same time, or how you can't do your best at work if your physical body is ill, you can't be completely happy with your life if the only thing you have is money.

James Ray has made appearances on the Oprah Winfrey show and Larry King Live. He was also in the movie "The Secret," which is in many ways similar to his Harmonic Wealth program. Balance is required in Harmonic wealth, and you have to go "three for three" with The Secret through focus of your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Find a successful balance, and find a successful life!
