Roller skating can be a fun pastime for all the family to enjoy, bringing you all together as a unit without costing a fortune. Roller skates or quad skates are basically a boot with four wheels, two at the front and two at the back. It is a pastime which was highly popular in the seventies and eighties with roller parks and roller discos all the rage. They have recently made a massive comeback.
If you are new to roller skating it is a good idea to be kitted out with protective gear such as elbow and knee pads as well as a helmet. You have a high chance of falling when you initially learn to skate so protective gear will protect everything except your pride!
