Alaska Family Cruise
Cruising with children in Alaska would be a great educational opportunity for them to learn about the amazing natural untouched landscapes and its wildlife, glaciers and marine life as well as learning about the weather and the possible effects of climate change
If you are traveling with children and are worried about everyone being fed up, then don't be. There are lots of activities for adults and children so if you want to take part in something the chances are that the children will also be doing something at the same time. There are also onboard sitters to watch your children in the evening
Camp Carnival is available for children on the Carnival Cruise ships. This offers children from the ages of 2-15 the chance to enjoy a range of activities to keep them entertained while you enjoy some of the more adult aspects of your cruise. Camp Carnival is a free service offered by Carnival Cruise lines as part of your cruise. There is also a baby sitting service for a small additional charge in the evenings.
For kids aged between two and seventeen years old there is the Kid's Crew if you are traveling with Norwegian Cruise Lines. The Kid's Crew offers a varied list of activities for the children, which caters for the appropriate age group. This will leave you free to enjoy what ever you want to do whilst knowing the children are enjoying themselves as well.
Children's activities include storytelling and magic shows for the younger children and older children can learn to cook or go on a treasure hunt around the ship or ashore whilst you are on an excursion. Teenagers can enjoy special dances and have access to video games. There are other activities available, simply check with the Norwegian Cruise Lines brochure.
Princess cruise lines also have their own kid's club, which also offers educational activities as well as television time so the children can enjoy some cartoons. There is also the opportunity to let the children eat with their new friends at the special children only dinners. This will leave you free to enjoy a quiet meal knowing that your children are having a great time as well. Princess cruise lines also offer a sitter service in the evening so you can enjoy the evening entertainment whilst the kids are asleep.
Royal Caribbean also look after families travelling on their Alaskan cruises. Royal Caribbean have their own Adventure Ocean program, which is available to children from the ages of three up to seventeen years old. All adventurers are places in the appropriate groups for their age. As before while you have your fun the children have theirs or if you want you can join in with the family entertainment programs.
If it wasn't for the different children's clubs your vacation in Alaska could become a nightmare. If the children are happy the adults are happy as they are able to do the things they want. So if you are planning on taking a cruise around Alaska make sure the cruise ship has a kids club.
